Portfolio
Welcome! As a self-taught artist, I’m deeply inspired by my upbringing in the vibrant landscapes of Latin America. Surrounded by the rich tapestry of color and nature from an early age, my work is a celebration of the vivid hues, dynamic shapes, and fluid movements that define the world around us.
In my art, you will find an interplay of colors that evoke the energy and warmth of life. I strive to capture the essence of nature’s beauty and the rhythm of life through bold shapes and lively compositions. Each piece is a journey, a reflection of my passion for creativity and my connection to the natural world.
Thank you for joining me on this artistic adventure. I hope my work brings you as much joy and inspiration as it brings me in creating it.
Lava Flow
Acrylic on Canvas
24″ x 36″
Using orange as the base color for my paintings allows me to infuse my work with warmth and vitality, echoing the vibrant energy of Latin America’s landscapes. This dynamic hue serves as a foundation, bringing a sense of enthusiasm and movement to each piece. This painting reminds me of the lava flowing down a volcano.
nature’s eyes
Charcoal on Paper
43″ x 60″
During a workshop at the Norristown Arts Building, I experimented with charcoal and discovered a flow and dance in my strokes that mirrored the intertwining vines of nature. This medium allowed me to explore organic movement, shading, and fluidity, adding a new dimension to my artistic expression.
interstellar
Acrylic on Canvas
24″ x 48″
In this piece, using blue as the base color for my painting, I splatter paint on top to evoke the mesmerizing beauty of the stars and night sky. The dynamic interplay of colors against the vibrant blue background captures the wonder and infinite possibilities of the cosmos.
body and soul
Mixed Media on Paper
43″ x 41″
Experimenting with charcoal at the Norristown Arts Building led me to integrate paint into my drawings, creating a harmonious blend of textures and depths. The contrast between the bold, dark, and dynamic lines of charcoal and the vibrant, fluid color of the red paint brought a unique energy and complexity to my work, reminiscent of nature’s intricate patterns.
electric night
Acrylic on Canvas
24″ x 48″
Experimenting with colors and brush strokes I don’t normally use, I created a painting with electric green hues that ended up reminiscent of the Northern Lights. This vibrant and dynamic piece captures the awe-inspiring beauty of the Aurora Borealis, one of my bucket list items to see.
phox
Acrylic on Canvas
24″ x 48″
I often paint without adhering to a traditional up-and-down perspective, allowing the composition to evolve organically. This approach sometimes reveals unexpected elements, such as in this painting where a fox’s head appeared, outlined in white and facing downward, adding a surprising and enchanting touch to the piece. Can you see it?
bubbles
Acrylic on Canvas
36″ x 48″
Embracing simplicity in painting can often lead to the most profound outcomes. In this piece, the minimal use of three colors—tan for the background, with white and black circles—creates a striking contrast and a powerful visual impact that speaks volumes with its understated elegance.
artistic vision
Paper on Media Board
24″ x 36″
My friend Montine of Intuition Painting invited me to participate in her online vision board workshop, which turned out to be a uniquely artistic experience. The process allowed me to infuse creativity and personal expression into my vision board, making it more than just a collection of images and words.
